WILLPOWER Encourage yourself! Say to your self, "I can and WILL do this!" You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! WISDOM Make wise choices! If a food has 0-2 carbs, but has a lot of calories, then choose the one that has 0-2 carb and LOW calories! Eat healthy and you will be fine! WATER Perhaps the most important "W" of all! Drink at least 8 eight ounce glasses of water a day. This helps flush the toxins AND keep you from feeling hungry! WALK Walk, walk, walk! This is probably the second most important "W"! Start out slow and work yourself up to 30-6o minutes a day. I dropped a size every 3-4 weeks after I began walking! WORKOUT I know - it's a dirty word! :) But even a little exercise a day will makes a difference in the inches and how fast you lose them. Toning is inportant, especially if you have a lot to lose. WEED Weed out those foods and things in your life that can be a hinderance. If you have others to cook for, this will be harder, but get rid of your favorite no-no foods that are are a temptation to you. WEB Create a web of friends that you can keep in touch with that will encourage you! Get an email buddy, or a pen pal that is on the diet, too. Hopefully, you can find someone to walk with and that will do the diet with you. One of the things I have found is that as I help and encourage others, I am encouraged, too! WRITE Keep an ongoing journal of your intake and exercise routine. Write it down and you will see just how you are really eating and exercising everyday. Then you can adjust your intake to figure out what works and what doesn't. WARDROBE One of the most helpful steps that I took for me was to get rid of a clothing size as soon as I went down one. My goal is to NEVER buy 'up', only down. I absolutely REFUSE to buy a size up! WORRY Worry only hinders weightloss! I know it is hard not to worry when the bills are coming in and the money is not there, or the kids are sick, and so on. But worry causes stress and we all know what that can do! It can make you eat like a starving tiger! The Bible says to cast all your cares on Him. He will provide! WAIT Be patient! I know you don't want to hear this, but it took time to gain the weight and it will take time to lose it. Fortunately for you this diet is faster than most others! The pounds seem to melt away! WEIGH Weigh your self every week, NOT every day. Our body has it's ups and downs just like we do. It can be very discouraging to weigh everyday. (I know!) WHITTLE Finally, you can watch your body whittle away into the body of your dreams! I NEVER thought I could 'go all the way', but I did! And it was relatively easy! I enjoy the diet and I feel good!
